SERVICE & MAINTENANCE

Given the critical nature of the services we provide, we only use the best products on the market, so our customers have ultimate peace of mind.

WHY IS MAINTENANCE SO IMPORTANT?

Regular maintenance of your fire and security equipment is vital to keep everything working correctly at all times, and also to ensure that you’re fully compliant.

Infinite Fire & Security will take the stress away from you by ensuring your systems are maintained and tested at the correct intervals, be it quarterly, bi-annually or in the case of detection alarm testing – weekly. You’ll not have to remember to book your engineer, we’ll take care of everything.

As a company, we offer cost effective maintenance packages when multiple services are brought into one plan.

All reports collated on site are emailed digitally to you, following any service visit, stating a full report and any possible follow up works if this is needed.

All our maintenance agreements are renewed annually, and all come with the peace of
mind that technical support and/or an engineer’s visit is available 24 hours a day.

All certification for your fire and safety documents will be issued, to keep everything up to date and inline with the latest regulations.

Regular maintenance will help:

Keep staff members / premises safe
Reduce liability
Improve equipment performance
Reduce false alarms
Prolong equipment life span
Reduce repair costs

In the event of a system fault, we provide an efficient 24/7 call-out service.

SECURITY

Our routine inspection and testing identifies any potential problems before they occur, also it is vital that you know your system will work when you need it most – in an emergency. All our engineers are capable of servicing a whole range of different Intruder, Access Control & CCTV systems, so even if you have different systems installed, we can tailor a bespoke solution for your security needs.

INTRUDER

Alarms that have a police-approved monitoring element, should be serviced bi-annually. Otherwise servicing annually will be sufficient but check with your insurance company as they may impose special servicing requirements. Most insurance companies do stipulate that you may need to have your alarm serviced by an accredited company.

CCTV

Your CCTV equipment should be serviced annually to ensure software is fully up to date and systems are kept secure. It’s also important to ensure camera lenses are clean, the image capture remains of the highest quality with no deterioration, camera angles and images are correct, storage requirements are still satisfactory and storage quality hasn’t deteriorated, keeping your system in full working order, capturing the best quality images and protecting your premises.

ACCESS CONTROL

Access Control Systems require ongoing maintenance and servicing, to be checked annually to ensure all components are operational, locks are secure, cabling is intact, control units, keypads etc are functional. It is always best practice to ensure that your system is running at optimum level thoughout its lifetime.

EMERGENCY LIGHTING

Emergency lighting equipment should be serviced bi-annually as stated in the British standards. The emergency routes and exits require illumination to ensure safe escape of the building should the main lighting fail.
Realistically if you have lights in your premises you need emergency lights too. Regular maintenance and testing is vital for all fire protection systems.

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS

Carbon Dioxide extinguishers need to be replaced/refilled every 10 years, all other years a service will be carried out on each fire extinguisher. Each fire extinguisher has a life span of 5 years, apart from CO2 which is 10 years.

FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS

Once you have a fire alarm installed, it is a legal requirement to have it serviced at least twice a year (depending on the industry you are in). To comply with the RRO (Regulatory Reform (Fire safety) order 2005), your premises, facilities, equipment and devices must be regularly maintained by a competent person/qualified maintenance contractor. This should be done bi-annually or quarterly. It is a legal requirement that all fire Systems are checked to ensure they remain fully operational as originally designed and commissioned.

WEEKLY TESTING

Your fire alarm will require weekly testing by a nominated person on the same day and at
the same approximate time each week as outlined in the British Standards. This can be carried out by the business owner or a staff member who must record this weekly and report any faults and take appropriate action. This can prove to be too time consuming or too much responsibility, so with this in mind, we offer a weekly Testing Package. We’ll attend your premises, test and record it for you.
